Stocks

This year in Language Arts class we read a book called The Westing Game. In the book there was a character named Turtle. Turtle loved to invest in stocks, so we took inspiration from her and decided to pretend to invest $20,000 in the stock market. How this worked was we imagined that we had $20,000 and distributed it to different stocks that we wanted to buy.

We would put the name of these stocks, the price per share, and how much money we were going to invest in that stock. We would repeat this until the $20,000 was spent. We would then check on the stocks that we invested in once every week. In the end, I made -1017.52. Some stocks I invested in were TSLA, AAPL, and SBUX. In conclusion, this was a very fun activity in Language Arts class and is definitely a favorite memory.
